S.T.A.R.S./Blackbelt Excellence - A Martial Arts Student Retention Program
The
S.T.A.R.S./Blackbelt Excellence Program is a recognition program
for students learning and completing a LIFE SKILLS
program. Each month you will introduce a new
topic
and students will be given worksheets to complete.
The
Black Belt Schools International Newsletter
is also a great follow-up  to the STARS/BBE worksheets
and poster. Worksheets are mandatory as we believe
these lessons have as much importance as learning
a self-defense move or a form. These worksheets
also demonstrate the value of your program to parents.
It is crystal clear that your school is more than
an activity, but rather and enrichment program that
teaches children how to create a positive and rewarding
life.
Students are to hand in their worksheet on Wednesday
or Thursday of the second week of the month. STARS
or Black Belt Excellence stripes are awarded on
the same day the kids return the work sheets. Quality
of a Champion Stripes are awarded on Wednesday and
Thursday of the last week. Students cannot get a
stripe if they didn't get the star or black belt
excellence stripe.
Earning a star or black belt excellence stripe and
completing the worksheet is a requirement for advancement.
If they hand in the worksheet late they will then
be awarded a stripe, however they can not get a
STAR or black belt excellence stripe if they didn't
return the worksheet on time.
Monthly Life Skills
Posters! This will educate and remind the parents
of all the great "life skills" their children are
learning at the school. All you need to do is download
the pdf file and bring it to your local printer
or Kinkos to make 2'x3' posters to hang in your
school.
